Humbled

Today I tried my hand at a simple Apple II programming project, namely a tone generator that produces short audio files at specific pitches. On the surface this seemed like a very basic prospect, even for someone with my rudimentary grasp of numbers and logic... sadly, it weren't so. After a solid 12 hours of hacking I managed a program that would very slowly create a square wave tone almost at the desired frequency and pretty much of the correct duration.

Obviously I need a crash course in basic digital audio, so this one's going on the back-burner for now.
