The Final Countdown...

Ahem. Well, it's done. Another RetroChallenge event survived with predictably mixed results. For me, it was a little less focussed than in the past, partly due to having a nine-month-old in the house and partly due to not attempting an endurance challenge this time round. Still, I managed to accomplish a few odds and sods:

• RT.Synth voice project
  An exercise in frustration (mainly due to my own ignorance), but I eventually succeeded in making noises that didn't crash the program.
• Luddite's Launcher
  An unplanned side project that I actually managed to complete. It's a program launcher for the Apple II written entirely in Applesoft.
• TimeLord Publication
  Finally put together a *finished* version of TimeLord, complete with printed manual, and tried to flog it on eBay.

The one project I was really hoping to pull off was establishing serial control of my Drumulator drum machine. Unfortunately I was unable to find my soldering iron, so I never got the cable built. So it goes...

Hopefully the summer RetroChallenge will be a bit more productive.
