The below list of individuals who died in Colchester County between 1955 and 2018 has been entirely derived from published court decisions. As discussed elsewhere, the presentation of the facts is of much less importance than the legal principles, so the information may be less detailed than a genealogist would desire. The age of the deceased and the name of his/her/its spouse are not usually provided; sometimes even the deceased's place of residence is not part of the court decision. Note that several of these individuals were killed in motor vehicle accidents along the highway, so they have no connection to Colchester County beyond tragically dying within its boundaries.

Information about the manner or cause of death is sometimes included in the court decision, especially where it was the result of negligence or criminal activity. This includes things like automobile accidents and murder/manslaughter.

Except for some more recent decisons from about the late-1990s onwards, published law reports are generally not freely available online. To review some of the court decisions referenced below, it will be necessary to visit a Law Library where these types of publications are held.
