Welcome to the Atlantic Society of Fish and Wildlife Biologists web site.

The purposes of the society are:

  1. To keep its members informed about current problems and issues in fisheries and wildlife biology and to provide for an exchange of expertise and information between Atlantic area biologists working in these fields.
  2. To encourage the training and development of fisheries and wildlife biologists in Atlantic Canada.
  3. To promote the wise use and management of fish and wildlife resources in Atlantic Canada.

4.     To provide professional group services to member biologists; such as access to journals, and information exchange.

Membership

Biologists and related professionals (for example, enforcement officer, and technical and biological support staff) residing in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland may join as regular members.

Student members of the society shall have a vote in the Society's affairs.

If you are interested in becoming an ASFWB member, you may contact Deanne Meadus, and she will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Memberships presently cost $20 per year for regular members ($5 for students). Click here to view the membership application form.
