About the Topic: Paul Fenton is the Senior Representative of the Bank of Canada's Economic Branch in Atlantic Canada.

About the Speaker: Mr. Fenton joined the Bank of Canada in 1979. He has a B.A. (HRS) from Mount Allison University, and pursued graduate studies in economics at the University of Guelph and McMaster University.

Mr. Fenton has held a variety of positions in the analytical departments of the Bank, including Chief Economic Forecaster and Research Adviser in the International Department. From 1984 to 1987, he worked in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund as a member of the team that prepares the World Economic Outlook.
