About the Speaker:

 

Dr Pugh is Secretary of the Inter-Agency Committee on Marine Science and Technology (IACMST) that reports to the Chief Scientific Advisor in the UK Office of Science and Technology. IACMST is based at the Southampton Oceanography Centre in southern England. He is author or co-author of 50 scientific publications, including a paper on ocean-related sectors in the UK economy published in December 1996.

His presentation will be of interest to anyone involved in ocean-related sectors and their importance to the Atlantic economy, such as the fishery, aquaculture, tourism and recreation, boatbuilding, shipbuilding, and ocean technologies.
