About the Topic:

Beyond providing a solid economic foundation, does government have a role in growing the Nova Scotia economy? What is the competitive environment for economic development? Are incentives still a necessary component attracting inward investment? Why can't we just grow from within? These and other questions are being asked across Nova Scotia by business and public sector opinion leaders. In this presention Mr. MacKenzie will address these questions and outline NSEDT's approach to economic development. In this respect, Nova Scotia Economic Development and Tourism is using unconvential approaches to achieve spectacular results in investment development and trade promotion. This session will challenge current wisdom on economic development.
