INFORMATION ON DISSOCIATION

In writing the script for this video, I collaborated with four women who have personal experience with Dissociation. We consider dissociation to be a natural coping mechanism experienced by everyone from time to time. It becomes a disorder only if it is employed to the degree that it interferes with one's normal functioning on a day to day basis. In it's extreme it has been called Multiple Personality Disorder but in recognition of the misleading nature of this label, the condition has been re-named Dissociative Identity Disorder.
