          The Sunrise Squares dance club was formed in 1984. The first dance was held at West Northfield Elementary School. We have danced at Newcombville Elementary school, Maitland Community Center and our present location The MARC in Dayspring.
          During this time John Medicraft was the caller and with his encouragement three of the club members became callers, Laurie and Elizabeth Hutchcroft and Neil Dorey.
          In the year 2000 John Medicraft retired and Neil Dorey became our caller that year with a unanimous vote we changed from an Executive run club to a caller run club,with both caller and club working together it is a success.
          October 2004 we celebrated our 20th anniversary. This year 2005 Sunrise Squares club and five couples and one single are eligible to receive longevity awards. Our club dances are Mainstream on Friday nights, and Plus every other Tuesday, class instructions are on Friday nights 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
