A learner who was being tutored in the one-to-one program has successfully written and passed his exams to become a licensed electrician. Another learner in the one-to-one program has been accepted into an Office Administration program. A third learner in the one-to-one program will be attending NSCC full time starting in May. He said he had learned math skills from his tutor that gave him confidence for NSCC.
One of BSLN’s learners in the one-to-one tutoring program has found a full-time job, and she said that her tutor had helped give her the computer skills necessary to apply for the job. She had been laid off from her previous job two days earlier.
