Wow! Talk about action! I love the crow trailing along behind, quite a =

This morning I was able to get a closer look at a Lesser =
Black-backed Gull that I initially viewed on Sunday. Still at least 6 =
Coots, and one Eurasian Wigeon at Sullivan's. The regular Gadwall Duck =
was taking his turn trying to steal the food from a Coot that was =
removing plants from the bottom. Usually the American Wigeons harass the =
Coots in this way. Two Bonaparte's Gulls dropped in again in the =
morning, and for the first time in a while I viewed a Peregrine Falcon =
pass on through, after a failed attempt at a meal. At Dartmouth Cove =
there was a Common Loon still with his winter plumage, and here at Red =
Bridge Pond I heard and viewed my first Red-winged Blackbird of the =
season. Other visitors here were a male and female Gadwall, American =
Wigeons along with one Eurasian Wigeon, and about 5 Iceland Gulls in =
amongst the Herring and Ring-billed Gulls, the most Icelands I've seen =
at Red Bridge Pond in one occasion. They likely were attracted to the =
small ice patch that remained, as most of it is gone in the immediate =
area. A short time after checking out these Gulls, they took flight =
when an Eagle showed up. I was barely out of the buildings parking lot =
in my car when I pulled off the road at the nearby municipal hydrant =
before the Irving Garage and took photos as the eagle singled out one of =
the young Herring Gulls and gave chase for a good minute or two, right =
over Lake Mic Mac and beside the Waverly Road, oblivious to the car =
traffic.
For those who wish to view, here is the first of about 15 new =
photos, the first two are by Rita in her backyard, and the rest mostly =
from what I have just described:
