Hi everyone,
=20
At least one of the Common Nighthawks David mentions in his email was still=
hanging around the north end of the island at dawn this morning. Migration=
is fairly slow currently but there were 3-4 Philadelphia Vireos today at t=
he north end of the island.
=20
Other birds of note were a Caspian Tern (Ronald Arsenault) seen at Freeport=
yesterday afternoon and a Great Skua (Robbie Denton et al.) and Parasitic =
Jaeger reported from whale watching trips yesterday.
=20
To my knowledge, there has been no sighting of the American Avocet in the a=
rea since last Wednesday.
=20
All the best,
=20
Lance
