Hi All,=20
While atlassing with Ivy Austin on Sunday at White Point (near Neil's Ha=
rbour) we observed two occupied GB Heron nests. They were located on rock l=
edges on the cliff face of a grassy islet that is the farthest point out on=
the peninsula. They shared the rock with a number of GBB Gull and other se=
abird nests. Neither of us have seen herons breed on this type of location =
before and I wanted to know if was a common occurrence.=20
Also noted in the area were the return of Barn Swallows to old nesting s=
ites unoccupied for the last few years. I wonder if the large number of swa=
llows killed in the aftermath of hurricane Wilma in 2005 might have had som=
e impact in their absence for the last number of years? All the best.=20
