Hi Eric:
On 15Jun09=2C Barbara and I were surprised to see 13 Black-legged Kittiwake=
s at Port George.
We don't keep many notes=2C however=2C I do recall that the only other prev=
ious sighting we had of this species was in late August=2C early September =
2001 off shore of Newfoundland.
In Port George there were 4 near shore as we turned the corner at Neily Bro=
ok=2C then 9 more a short distance west along the shore. Maintaining thems=
elves in a group=2C they came ashore in an area a short distance from where=
Herrring and Great Black-backed Gulls were gathered.
