I took a pleasant quick walk out to Conrad's Island at Lower Rose Bay this =
evening.  I lost the light fast.  On the way off the island a nice doe with=
 three fawns was in the middle of the causeway.  There was a real nice grou=
p of migrants at the entrance to the road.  In this group were various warb=
lers along with an adult Lincoln sparrow and three juveniles.

Nelson's sparrows were very vocal and I heard at least ten.  I saw two or t=
hree. =20

Shorebirds included=2C 12 lesser yellow-legs=2C four greater yellow-legs=2C=
 six willets=2C 10 black-bellied plovers=2C and 20 short-billed dowitchers.
