Hi Peter and all,
=20
Hurricane Juan's eye passed right over our house in Portuguese Cove =
on its way to destroying most of Point Pleasant Park in Halifax so we =
know exactly how you feel. We lost several trees that night but some of =
our neighbours lost all of their trees, and I do mean every single one. =
This was probably due to microbursts, powerful downward super gusts of =
wind. It was a disaster out here!
=20
Check the icons on the National Hurricane Storm Center site, for =
example by tapping the Trop Storm Wind Speed Probability icon it =
currently shows a 70% chance of Tropical Storm winds just at the =
coastline.

Here's the site again.=20
