This summer was a big one for lost racing pigeon admissions at CWRC, and He=
lene and I were able to reunite most of the birds with their owners with th=
e band lists given on the Canadian Racing Pigeon Union website, found here.=
However, this site records only racing pigeon bands, which are plastic-cov=
ered metal and have both numbers and letters on them, eg "CU 2009 Central N=
ova 312 ". The band you describe sounds more like a plastic snap-on band, l=
ike these, which are used by pigeon keepers to distinguish individual birds=
, but do not have traceable numbers. The bird may even be a fancy pigeon an=
d not a racing pigeon at all.=0A=0AI would try to get in touch with Bob Rod=
gers in Lawrencetown. He's in charge of the Atlantic Pigeon Fancier's Netwo=
rk and may be able to help find the bird's owner. His e-mail is bob_rodgers=

to their origin. I seem to have misplaced that information. I've been con=
