I found three good birds today in respect to the time of year.  They were a=
n osprey over the LaHave River at East Lahave=2C a northern goshawk at the =
end of Second Peninsula and a ruby-crowned kinglet at the entrance to the S=
econd Peninsula Park. =20

Other birding notations.  Glenn Rhodenizer told me that he had a Lapland Lo=
ngspur on the farm.  He also stated that there were about 80 sparrows there=
 the other day.  Today there were none.  He also had a whimbrel in the fiel=
d two days ago.  My friend Gary Smith of Bridgewater had a common redpoll. =

Scaup are starting to show up.  Today I had two groups of four greater scau=
p.  I also saw 10 wood ducks again in Lilydale. =20
