My 1st birds of 2k10 were 3 Downy Woodpeckers, 1 male, 2 females, followed =
there after by 3 Song Sparrows, 4 White-throated Sparrows, 5 or 6 BC Chicka=
dees and the Orange-crowned Warbler, that spent a good deal of time 'jostli=
ng for position' at the suet feeders with those relentless starlings. Have =
to admit, the warbler is no 'shrinking violet' when it comes to food! It is=
at the feeders a number of times during the day.=A0Figure that must be a g=
ood sign as to its overall condition. It is often on the ground too, a fair=
bit, hopping around, foraging away or sitting in the spirea bush.
