Hi:
On site at about 1530 we spent about 30 minutes hoping for a sighting.
Wayne Neilly was there and intends to return in the future.
The consensus=2C including Adora's reconsidering the details=2C that it was=
likely a Great-crested Flycatcher. This nest box is about 100ft from the n=
est box where we saw the GC Flycatcher years ago.

Adora and I recall when one of her neighbours had Great-crested Flycatchers=
many years ago using a nest box=2C regardless Adora would like confirmatio=
n of the present species. Barbara and I will be going for a look mid aftern=
oon and Liz Doull intends to have a look too. Hope the nesters are still ac=
tive.
The Parson's property has a number of trees and shrubs=2C plants/flowers

For which species was the nest box designed for...bluebirds/swallows? What =
habitat is it in? The Birds of North America Online account does not mentio=
n cavity nesting for this species at all. I wonder if the ID is valid...co=
uld it have been a Great Crested Flycatcher=2C a known cavity nester=2C ins=
tead?
