Hi all:

I forgot to mention a very strange short-billed dowitcher this morning. It=
was in the middle of the road going out to Conrad's Island and it kept wal=
king along in front of David Walmark and I as we moved along. I suspect th=
at it must have been exhausted from whereever it flew in from and just drop=
ped down. It was uninjured and able to fly. I've never seen this type of =
action for that species before.

Tonight at the entrance to the airport was a bobolink which flew up out of =
the grass beside the road.
