Kwe Msit Wen
(Greetings All)

Nick and I took a short drive to try to escape the heat. We went to
MacCormack's Beach and then on to Hartlen Point (or rather the Shore Road). We
found several (I counted 4, Nick counted two- Buff-breasted Sandpipers at Shore
Road (where the last yellow cement barricades are) plus three Ruddy Turnstones,
numerous semipalmated plovers, Sanderlings, semipalmated sandpipers and least
sandpipers. There were so close that at one point I had to duck in order to
avoid being smacked in the face by them as they fly around me.

We also saw a bird of prey (a hawk) but ID unknown because we had downloaded
that hawk guide, printed it off and then had it laminated at Staples where we
forget to pick it up.

Later on we went to Point Pleasant Park where we seen two Solitary Sandpipers at
the mud pond that Mr. Andrew Horn reported previously. We managed to get some
fabulous shots when one decided to perch on a long in a natural sunlight beam.
There were also one Male Mallard, two American Black Ducks there plus a very
ratty looking common grackle.

Processing pictures now and will be posted to my web gallery at:
http://gallery.me.com/tumayoung for those interested in seeing the pictures.

That's all for now folks.
