There is an interesting new lecture=20
series offered by Dalhousie's College of=20
Sustainability. The lectures are every Thursday=20
evening at 7 p.m. during term, and most are in=20
Ondaatje Hall, Marion McCain Arts and Social=20
Sciences Building, at 6135 University Avenue in=20
Halifax (across from the Student Union Building,=20
for those who know the Dal campus). This series=20
began last year, with an interesting range of=20
topics. It wasn't very well advertised to the general public last year=
though.
Here is the link to the site=20
http://sustainability.dal.ca/PUBLIC_LECTURES/ I=20
particularly recommend the first one; it is=20
actually a one-woman play about Rachel Carson. I=20
saw Kaiulani Lee http://www.kaiulanilee.com/=20
perform this at Neptune a few years ago.
Below are all that are posted so far;=20
but watch the website for more in the future.
Cheers,
Patricia L. Chalmers
