I've uploaded several photos to my Flickr site of Hurricane Earl birds which
I took on my long weekend of birding along the south shore Sept.10-13. It
was wonderful to meet several birders that I've known by name only and to
see many old birding friends from the past. My stay on Cape Sable Island was
greatly enhanced by guidance from Clyde Stoddart and advice from Johnny
Nickerson. I realized a long-time dream to visit Cape Sable itself thanks to
transportation provided by Leslie Smith.

Photos include flocks of LAUGHING GULLS at Liverpool and Summerville
Beach, BLACK SKIMMERS at Beach Meadows Beach, MARBLED GODWIT at Summerville
Beach and SNOWY PLOVER at Kingsburg Beach. Unfortunately I wasn't able to
get any decent photos of the Bar-tailed Godwit at The Hawk, Cape Sable
Island.
