Hi all
Spent this morning, Oct. 31, on Big I. and came up with a tally of 47 species not bad considering there
were showers or snow flurries most of the morning. There were a few signs of winter species arrival with
1 American Tree Sparrow, 2 Pine Grosbeak, 80 Bohemian Waxwing, 2 Snow Bunting and 4 Long-tailed Ducks.

Fall birds in numbers were 45 Horned Grebe, 27 Red-throated Loon, 500 Red-breasted Merganser, 100 Bonaparte's Gulls.
and 560 Canada Geese.

There were at least 100 American Robins and 1 Hermit Thrush, 1 Great Blue Heron, 1 Myrtle Warbler
and a imm. White-crowned Sparrow.

Here is the shorebird list:

Black-bellied Plover-7
Semipalmated Plover-1
Greater Yellowlegs- 6
Dunlin-45
White-rumped Sandpiper-17
Sanderling-37

cheers
Ken
