Hi all
Just a reminder that the Pictou Co. Naturalist's Club will be meeting on Thurs. Nov. 4 this month with Mark Pulsifer, regional Biologist
from the Department of Natural Resources in Antigonish, giving a illustrated talk on "Moose- Where Have They All Gone". Mark will
provide an historic look at NS Moose and the reasons for the decline in numbers of mainland moose over the last 40 years.
Please note the change from the usual night from Tues. to Thurs. for this month only. Note the program room is now on the first floor
of the New Glasgow Library and will be at 7 p.m. All are welcome to the presentation.

Some people might be interested in this workshop:

Two lichen identification workshops are being organized and hosted
by the Mersey Tobiatic Research Institute. The workshops are to take place on November 19th in Ecum Secum
and November 26th in Sable River.
The purpose of the workshops is to get out with experts (Tom Neily, Harold Clapp, Brad Toms), practise identification and
learn some new lichens, including possibly some of our rarer species. And the workshops are FREE!!
