Index of Subjects Ruth Clarke saw a flock of 50 Hooded Mergansers in the cove near her home in Sangaree, Mira, last week. There was a feeding frenzy for a day and then the birds departed. Pat Lewis, Warren Street, Louisbourg, reported having 4 White-winged Crossbills in her yard today (Dec. 4th). My wife, Dianne and I took a drive around Louisbourg Harbour today. Along the harbour side of Havenside Road, we spotted 5-Black Guillemot, 6-Surf Scoter, 4-White-winged Scoter, 150-Common Eider, 12-Long-tailed Duck and 4-Common Goldeneye. At the entrance to the Marconi Picnic Area (Parks Canada), a Wilson's Snipe was stationary in the grass, while across the road a lone Bufflehead swam. Bill Bussey 20 Albert Street Louisbourg
