Bonnie Carmichael's NSBS Beginning Birders' Field Trip took place in
Dartmouth on Sunday, 5 Dec. In the course of the three hours
(0930-1230) we managed to visit four Dartmouth hot
spots. Highlights and misses:

Red Bridge Pond - male Eurasian Wigeon

St. Thomas More Church (corner of Main & Calendonia) -- missed both
the Lark Sparrow and the Prairie Warbler. Lots of traffic, though,
didn't help (services were being held).

Bissett Lake - 2 American Coots, 1 Pied-billed Grebe

Shubie Park - Northern Cardinal, American Robin

Good winter birding,

Blake
