There was a flock of upwards of 130 Bohemian Waxwings in the tops of =
poplar trees at the Annapolis Royal Marsh yesterday morning. No sign of =
them today. The usual birds on the still open water: 20-25 hooded =
mergansers, abt 15 mallards, abt 20 Am blacks, abt 30 buffleheads, and =
one lone male green-winged teal. On Sunday the 5th, I saw a young dc =
cormorant feeding on the marsh, but haven't seen it since. There have =
been occasional small flocks of c redpolls and pine siskins feeding on =
the birch catkins, along with the goldfinches.
