--Boundary_(ID_bBb3DOWcCKqAT3U+9tIHAA) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Dec. 11, 2010 (cont.) - Also in Canning, in the Habitant River just south of the storefronts and at the riverside park and just to the west of there, were 50+ mixed mallards and black ducks, plus at least 6 American wigeons (2m,4f/imm) and 4 f/imm hooded mergansers (and possibly a male hoodie, not seen well enough to be sure). At home in Wolfville at our feeders, yesterday and today we saw 2 separate adult male cardinals plus one adult female, plus 10 pheasants (2 males and, usually separate, at least 8 females (family?)), 1 flicker female (seen only once), 1 red-breasted nuthatch occasionally, 1 song sparrow, 5+ white-throated sparrows, 3+ juncos, 5 blue jays (1 with no tail), 2 mourning doves, 4+ bl.-c. chickadees.
