Had a nice present this morning in the form of a juvenile Broad-winged Hawk
perched in a tree right next to my driveway as I headed out to visit family this
morning. If only I'd had my brand-new binoculars with me to get an even better
look at it! But it allowed a very close approach by car (about 20 feet) as it
concentrated on some tasty morsel hiding in the grass below it, so it was an
easy ID.
