Another dovekie was found grounded, this time in Samsonville, near St. Peter's. Ann Carter called me and asked for an identification of "a bird that couldn't because of a broken wing." When I saw the bird I told her to return it to the ocean side of the St. Peter's Canal. She was very excited some time later when she said it dove immediately and then swam around. Billy
