Some folks might be interested in taking in this upcoming field trip. Note that this one is on Saturday!
Annual Sewer Stroll, Saturday, Feb 12 - 9:00am in the parking lot at McCormack's Beach Provincial Park, just past Boondocks Restaurant in Eastern Passage. Contact: Suzanne Borkowski, 445-2922; suzanneborkowski@yahoo.ca, or Bob McDonald, 443-5051 (bobathome@eastlink.ca)
This joint trip with the Nova Scotia Bird Society will visit all the favorite winter birding sites in and around Halifax Harbor looking for ducks and gulls. Sites include Hartlen Point, Eastern Passage, Dartmouth Cove, Sullivan's Pond, Tuft's Cove, and the Bedford Waterfront. If the weather conditions are favorable and time permits, we will also visit Point Pleasant Park and possibly Herring Cove. Dress warmly and bring a lunch, binoculars, field guides, and telescope (if you have one).
