More notes from yesterday.
=20
Song sparrows everywhere practicing their songs.
=20
At Front Centre=2C five male black-capped chickadees with their FeeBee call=
s. The male with the loudest FeeBee call gets the territory. =20
=20
Male mallards everywhere with battle royals and one incident of pecking at =
windows. Territorial actions.
=20
Red-breasted nuthatches making their calls that you usually hear in the spr=
ing=2C which I suspect denotes territory.
=20
Hopefully=2C all signs that spring is on the way.
=20
With the large groups of common goldeneyes at Bayport yesterday afternoon=
=2C there was a male Barrows Goldeneye.
=20
Also at Bayport a female northern pintail.
