There will be a presentation by our own Pat Kelly: "It=92s the End of the World as You Know It" It=92s the End of the World As We Know It. Most aspects of natural =20 history occur on the surface of the Earth. Earth=92s surface (and its =20= biology, etc.) has changed drastically in the past. One only needs to =20= look at a dinosaur skeleton to bring that fact home, yet we take the =20 existence of life on the Earth=92s surface for granted. In astronomy, =20= one is often faced with looking at not only the =93big picture=94 but = the =20 =93long clock=94 view of things. Modern astronomers and biologists now =20= have tools that allow them to look far ahead and predict what may be =20 in store for Earth=92s long-term future.
