Dianne and I spotted an adult Bonaparte's Gull ( breeding plummage) in the
parking lot of the Sydney River Shopping Center, Sydney River, behind the Burger
King outlet. It was with several Herring Gulls and had a noticeable limp. While
we observed it, the bird only flew a short distance (a meter, or so) each time
it was disturbed by passing traffic.
