I tried for the Super Perigee Moon on both Saturday and Sunday evenings, both sightings at 99.5% luminance. Saturday was a bust for moon rise but I did get it Sunday evening although big telephoto lenses shooting over water and through thick atmosphere never produces satisfactory results. http://www.hanstoom.com/StockPhotos/Visions3/0167.html

Last Thursday I tried for Black-backed Woodpeckers at Mount Uniacke Museum Park, without luck, but I did find and photograph a Pileated Woodpecker. http://www.hanstoom.com/StockPhotos/Birds/DovesToWoodpeckers/0182.html

Fox Sparrows arrived at our place in Portuguese Cove on Friday, first one, then two, and now up to three of these handsome birds: http://www.hanstoom.com/StockPhotos/Birds/SparrowsToFinches2/0103.html

Details are in my journal. Just scroll down: http://www.hanstoom.com/Journal/Page2.html
