Our faithful Woodcock (fourteen years) or more likely, a descendant returned this week.

Seven White-winged Crossbills – five females, one immature male and one mature male –
half a dozen Goldfinches, a Downy WP, 2 RB Nuthatches plus the usual parade
of Chickadees were at our feeders today. Robins have been seen on the
N. Mountain but no Grackles – yet.
