After an uneventful walk down Sandy Cove Road, HRM, this evening Laura and I decided to check out our local bogs. At Sambro Bog, HRM, there is a beautiful Snowy Egret, with its white tassels blowing in the wind. I did get photos but my website is currently being revamped for videos so I'll have the photos up tomorrow, and perhaps even more photos and a video, since these egrets tend to stay in the area for several days once they arrive.

At Hartlen Point's beach this morning I found a Great Blue Heron, a Savannah Sparrow, a Sanderling and a Red-winged Blackbird singing vigorously plus the usual array of ducks, both dabblers and divers.
