A good suggestion Gloriabut it was an Atlantic Salmon. My friend is an expe=
rt on Salmon and Trout having written many books on the subject in addition=
to having fished salmon world wide. In addition he has pictures should to =
confirm the id. Not like the time we caught an Atlantic Whitefish in the La=
have. The DOF was so anxious to prove it wasn't so and got so obnouxus abou=
t it the Minister Mr Regan finally got involved. I still have his letter ap=
ologizing for the behavior of his Department. The escaped rainbows or steelh=
eads are triploids and are not capable of reproducing. The steelheads which=
we caught other years in both the Lahave and other rivers had no sign of s=
pawn or milt.=A0As rainbows are quite common in some North shore rivers as =
well as CB and PEI and are long=A0distance swimmers its not impossible for =
them to end up here. Unlikely but possible. That is my opinion only you und=
erstand.Thanks you for your interest.

I never thought of that possibility.
It is the =0A interesting thing about fish. We never know they e=
xist until they =0A come into contact with us. A few moments and=
they are gone again - =0A who knows where?
Have a nice spring
