These were heading toward the Minas Basin shore, and I wonder if they were new Spring arrivals? APRIL 14, 2011 - Again I saw an upside-down bird on the peanut feeder: a white-breasted nuthatch. And at late dusk when viewing was very difficult, a female cardinal came to feed on the ground below the feeders. Our resident male cardinal has been singing a very often over the past 10 days or more. APRIL 16, 2011 - Just upstream from the Canning Aboiteau were 110 Canada geese, in the water and feeding on the bank and in corn stubble. APRIL 18, 2011 - In Lockhart & Ryan Park in New Minas, lots of Mayflowers in bloom. PLEASE everyone VOTE on May 2 or earlier! (Pat & I voted early already).
