On a bicycle ride beneath the North Mountain yesterday, I encounter a beautiful patch of Marsh Marigold along a stream beginning to bloom. This is the first patch I have seen in the area. Have I been missing something? My old copy of Roland and Smith mentioned some in Cape Breton but not the Valley. By the way, I put an image of the Marsh Marigolds on Nature Nova Scotia's Facebook wall . If you want to post pictures - Nature Nova Scotia has a new Facebook page and you can use it for that purpose. I see some Nova Scotia naturalists have found it already. Regards, Larry Bogan
