Hi All,

Today I was on my way to the Digby Pines to pick up my daughter, so  
took a couple of short walks through Belle Isle Marsh and French Basin  
trail.

Lots of birds,

BellsIsle:
2 bobolink males!!
2 pairs gadwall
2 pairs black ducks
2 pairs blue wing teal
1 pair shoveller
1 white farm yard goose
lots of Canada geese
lots of green wing teal, bufflehead, ring neck ducks, common goldeneyes
only a few mallard drakes
tree swallows, bank swallows
1 osprey
6 d.c. cormorants
song, savannah, swamp sparrows
2 flickers
lots of red wing black birds


French Basin trail:
100+ bufflehead, most I have seen any where
lots of; ring neck duck, green wing teal
2 drake widgeon
1 pair gadwall
1 pair blue wing teal
8 wood ducks
mallard drakes
1 great blue heron
6+ yellow warblers
1 black and white warbler
1 willet
1 belted kingfisher
2 barn swallows
lots of tree swallows

At the "Pines" employee parking lot;
1 each; hummingbird, parula, yellow rumped and black throated green warbler

53 bird species all totaled.

Grey squirrel in Kingston, muskrats at French Basin, 3 road killed  
raccoon along the drive, 1 groundhog ran across the highway between  
Aylesford and Kingston.
