Hi all
Here is an update on the Pomerine Jaeger ( pretty sure of ID?) found at Melmerby Bch. PP May 12 by Dr. Paul MacDonald and seen as recently as 7:30 this morning May 16 by Paul.

Charlie Kendell had this section to survey dring the NS Migration Count and he and wife Judy successfully discovered the Jaeger about 1 p.m, about mid-way along the road that traverses the park. It was sitting on the road and Charlie got some fine close-up shots.

Karen and Kit Macleod and I watched it being chased from the beach by an immature Bald Eagle on Sunday May 15 at 9:30 a.m. It disappeared torard Merigomish Hbr.

Paul called me this morning ( May 16) and he noted the Jaeger flush from mid-way along the park road to Roy I. and was between the road and the inner bay. It lifted as he droveby, but settled down after he drove by.

An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was seen at Waterside PP on May 14.( KJM)

cheers
Ken
