The bullfrogs emerged Monday at my pond - nice to hear them finally - I was=
 getting worried! Still no dragonflies yet.
Bald eagle was swooping very low over the island and fen. I expect it has s=
cared the loon away that was trying to set up a nest there since this was t=
he first weekend it did not call out from there in the night.
Saw a gorgeous pair of pileated woodpeckers in the back yard between the ro=
ad and the lake checking out the oak tree.  Hopefully they'll nest (or are =
already nesting) somewhere nearby.
They nested in an enormous poplar a couple of years ago.
