I believe this is a Gadwall and her young, taken from the pond inside =
the Horseshoe Road, close to the Rocky Run with the Yellow-Crowned =
Night-Heron. Please correct me if my ID is wrong. The bills are hugh =
looking on the ducklings
Had a nice talk with Jim Edsall at Rocky Run today too, while chatting a =
Common Eider was pushed under the bridge by the incoming tide, very =
close view for us. Jim figured it was in molt so could not fly, hense =
why we had such a close view. Also picked up a large wad of 30lb =
fishing line by the bridge, argh. The heron is the next image in =
gallery.
All the best,
