Hello,

The osprey nest known as "Walmart" nest in Bedford is active. During
my visi this afternoon the male carried two fish to nest and waiting
female.

There is at least one chick in the nest that visible when fed by the
mother. Last year the pair had initially three chicks of which two
fledged.
Possible that there is more than one youngster in the nest this year
as well, but due to the wet weather some grass has started growing on
the nest restricting the view in the pit.

The best spot to take a look is from across the street behind the hair
cutting place. The parking lot is almost on eyelevel with the nest
that is less than 50m away.

The three nests on power poles along Rocky Lake Road had each one
adult. Chicks were not visible, but judged by the size of the one seen
in the Walmart nest they may still be to little to be visible.

Red Bridge pond in Dartmouth had one Osprey circling that didn't do me
the favor to dive for supper.

Ulli
