Coming home from Wentworth this late afternoon, we encountered a wild turkey
crossing the road. It was huge and a dark colour. The oncoming car almost hit it
but it took off up in the air for twenty feet or so but wasn't a great flyer.
This was about a kilometre or so north from the hole/cave in the hill near the
back Debert turnoff. The only other time I have seen wild ones is feeding on the
roadsides of New England.
