I used to often see otters along the boardwalk in the mornings of the the winter
months when there are less people around. I have also seen them at the Alderney
Ferry terminal running around the docks.

Rob

While traveling to work on the ferry this morning, I saw a large River Otter
about a hundred feet out from the Casino at Purdy's Wharf. At first I just saw
its head, then it swam a bit and I could see its entire body, finally it arched
its back and dove. It definitely was not a seal.
