Does anyone including the museum folk on here know where to get a small
supply of Plastazote? I occasionally pin out very small insects on
polyporous strips that I got from somewhere eons ago (presumably came
from a bracket fungus), but it is rather stiff and will bend the tips
of my smallest pins. A colleague's insects given me recently are
pinned on Plastazote which he says is superior stuff. Under the
microscope it shows a honeycomb structure, and appears to be more
forgiving for fine pins. Apparently comes in different sheet sizes.
I'm sure Bioquip (CA) will sell it, but does anyone know of a Canadian
supplier?
Steve, Halifax
